Rhett Wiseman is on his way to a historic season at Vanderbilt.
Since the NCAA switched to BBCOR bats in 2011, the benchmark for home runs for the Commodores has been Connor Harrell’s 2012 season, in which he hit 12 homers. With the entire postseason to go, Wiseman is sitting at that 12 home run mark.
It may seem odd, perhaps, that Wiseman is the one tying the record, considering he didn’t hit a single home run last year. But with a newly developed swing this season, he’s been able to unlock the immense potential he arrived on campus with.
