Jackson State offensive lineman Mason Barton will officially be on campus today as the coaching staff works to see if he'll be a good fit for Texas and Steve Sarkisian's offense.
Barton, who just finished up his sophomore season at Jackson State, played everywhere along the offensive line at some point for the FCS team. He's logged snaps at center, guard, and tackle for the Tigers throughout his first two years there.
Though he wasn't a full-time starter in 2025, he played over 300 snaps and gained valuable experience on one of the most productive offenses at the FCS level.
