Habs snap losing streak, beat Senators

MONTREAL — Craig Anderson finished Saturday night as a spectator at the Bell Centre.

Unfortunately, his teammates took a seat long before he did.

Disgraceful. Disappointing. Disenchanting. Use any word you want to describe the Senators’ effort in this 3-1 loss to the arch-rival Montreal Canadiens but the best may way be horrible because they just weren’t up for it as Ottawa closed out this road trip with a lousy 1-3-0 record.

Only Jean-Gabriel Pageau was able to beat Habs’ goalie Dustin Tokarski on the 26 shots the Senators managed as they suffered one of their worst losses of the season at the hands of a team they’re trying close the gap with the for top spot in the Atlantic Division as Ottawa hit the 30-game mark.
