TAMPA — If superstitions kick in, the Senators will go helmet-less during their pre-game warmup from now on.
It worked out for them Friday.
“We were just trying to have some fun before the holidays and got the result we wanted, so maybe we’ll see it again,” said defenceman Chris Wideman, who broke a 15-game goal scoring slump by netting the winner against the Sharks but the next day wouldn’t reveal whose idea it was to leave the buckets in the room.
“It’s above my pay grade,” said the 25-year old rookie.
“I just kind of do what I’m told.
