DaKaari Nelson (6’3”/220) began an official visit to NC State Wolfpack yesterday, according to his Instagram.
Nelson was a consensus four-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting class, with Rivals ranking him as the No. 74 overall player nationally, the No. 3 safety, and the No. 11 player in the state of Alabama.
The former Penn State Nittany Lions defender has appeared in 29 collegiate games, with the majority of his experience coming on special teams. Nelson has logged 72 total defensive snaps in his career, including just two defensive snaps this past season.
Nelson originally arrived at Penn State as a safety, but transitioned to linebacker this season after adding more than 30 pounds since entering college.
