Tyson Fury’s latest retirement didn’t last long. The former heavyweight world champion is officially set to return to the ring on April 11, when he faces hard-hitting Russian contender Arslanbek Makhmudov in a heavyweight bout to be held in the United Kingdom.
The fight was announced Wednesday by Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority. The event will be promoted by The Ring and streamed live on Netflix, marking another major step in the platform’s expansion into live boxing.
Fury (34-2-1, 24 KOs), who announced his most recent retirement in January 2025 following his second loss to Oleksandr Usyk, confirmed earlier this month that he was preparing a comeback.
