Weekend Wrap-Up: Baseball and Softball struggle

Connor Brumfield scored two runs against Missouri State on Tuesday, but it was not enough as the visitors prevailed, 5-3.

Andy Toelken pitched 7.1 innings for Missouri, but a two-run homer in the third was the catalyst for the Bears. Allowing just six hits, Toelken didn’t make many mistakes, but when he did, the Bears made him pay.

On Friday, Cole Bartlett pitched all nine for Mizzou and led them to a 9-3 win in Oxford. With the score tied at two, Brumfield hit a solo shot to give the Tigers the lead, and they didn’t look back.
