STATESBORO, Ga. -- The ULM tennis team picked up a split against Georgia Southern and Savannah State during its Saturday doubleheader inside the Wallis Tennis Complex.
Match One (Georgia Southern 4, ULM 2)
The Eagles and Warhawks stuck to singles action, only going to doubles for a tiebreaker situation.
Tiffany Mylonas' decisive No. 3 victory tied the contest, but the Eagles jumped back out to a 3-1 lead. Martina Husarova won on No. 2 in dramatic fashion that got ULM back within striking distance.
It all came down to No. 6, where Luana Stanciu lost a 7-6 heartbreaker in the third set ended the first match.
