CONWAY, Ark. -- Luana Stanciu picked up her first match-clinching victory against her best opponent yet, and ULM got its third 4-3 win in as many matches this season on Sunday afternoon.
The Focsania, Romania, native, won 7-5, 5-7, 7-5 over No. 114 Marli Van Heerdan to close it out. Central Arkansas' QiLi Ma came back on Patricia Villar in the final two sets of that match to keep the Sugar Bears alive
Ioana Popescu also knocked off Rada Manataweewat 6-1, 6-3. Both victories were the freshmen's first over ranked foes. Mylonas also won her singles match, meaning all three of those Warhawks moved to 3-0 on the year.
