Clemson defensive ends coach Chris Rumph told Kalib Spivey he had some good news to share with him once he arrived for the Elite Retreat last weekend.
The three-star edge rusher, out of Carver, Alabama, made his first trip to campus since last spring, and Rumph did indeed deliver on his promise as Spivey left the event with an offer from the Tigers in hand.
“I kind of got the hint from Coach Rumph,” Spivey told The Clemson Insider. “He said, ‘I got good news for you when you get here.’ Honestly, I just went because I wanted to visit Clemson again.
