FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas men’s basketball coach John Calipari planned to give his players two days off after Saturday’s game versus Kentucky no matter the result.
The now-No. 21 Razorbacks took the biggest tumble — six spots — in Monday’s release of the AP Top 25 after losing 85-77 to the Wildcats at home. Kentucky led for roughly 34 of 40 minutes.
Arkansas failed to end an up-and-down January with a fourth straight SEC win. The Razorbacks (16-6, 6-3 SEC) cooled off with a loss at the halfway point of their 18-game SEC schedule.
